Job Description
Tutator Development Corporation (TDC) is developing a technology solution for a Bulgarian NGO that provides comprehensive social, psychological, and specialized support services to ensure that vulnerable children grow up in a secure family environment and reach their full potential.
To support this initiative, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to act as the key link between the local team on the ground in Sofia and Tutator’s remote development team. This role is critical to ensuring smooth communication, accurate requirements gathering, and successful system implementation.
Key qualifications
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the Sofia-based team and Tutator’s developers.
- Gather, document, and communicate user feedback, operational needs, and field requirements.
- Support the testing of new features and assist with onboarding local staff to the platform.
- Track open tasks and follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of milestones.
- Assist with data entry, validation, and quality checks to ensure data accuracy.
- Prepare and share weekly status updates with the Tutator project lead.
Duties and responsibilities
- Recent graduate or early-career profesional in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Bulgarian.
- Comfortable working with web-based platforms and mobile applications.
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Based in Sofia, with availability to travel to partner locations (e.g., Plovdiv) as needed.
Nice to Have
- Interest or experience in NGOs, social enterprises, or international development projects.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., ClickUp, Notion, or similar).
- Basic understanding of databases, forms, or data collection systems.
Compensation & Terms
- Type: Freelance / consultant contract
- Duration: 3–4 months
- Workload: ~20 hours per week
- Compensation: 6-9 $us per hour, based on experience
